We start underground. With the tought how we can fix Jacomus Valerius
Meldor informs Dr. Byron Dark of the state of Jacomus Valerius while we hurry our way back. When we arrive Dr. Byron Dark has some cure ready but warns there might be side effects.
We speak with Archibald. The creation of the hybrids is to create better people better resistance against the land here. The Ember Empire forced him to hurry up to create more of the hybrids as they are good "weapons". He tells us people were replaced by duplicates. They are a very experimental form of simulacrum. A way stronger / better from.
We discuss what to do next. Archibald has beef with The Sculptor and likes to get rid of him. This is a common enemy. We discuss if we can work together. Archibald likes something in return and likes to be a freeman eventually. But we are not really trustworthy to him continuing the way he is experimenting now.
He also has a stach of antidote and poison. We might be able to get that from his lab.
He could also help us in getting help from the fish people.
We don't trust him, but we think he might be usefull for now. A suggestion is made to speak to all the leaderships of the Jade Alliance and The Resistance.
We go to the Arctic Explorers Society to deal with Captain Icetrek. Patrolling the street we see Ember Empire guards.
We enter the Arctic Explorers Society and find a duplicate (atleast we think) of Captain Icetrek.Have have discussion with both Captain Icetrek's. As the room is shielded by some magic that blocks detect magic. We get into a fight. We defeat the duplicate and he is turned into water.
Guards accuse Jacomus Valerius with the murder of the duplicate of Captain Icetrek. We succesfully convince them that no one was murdered. There is no body to show for the murder.
We discuss that we need to investigate if there are more duplicates at the Arctic Explorers Society and the Jade Alliance. Meldor advises into getting together both groups in a big meeting.
Meldor uses divination to ask the gods. He has a vision of 3 people.
Experimenting on them we can tell that Detect Magic on first level does nothing.
We can upcase detect magic and there is a chance we can tells
1 of the duplicates is killed the other are put in prison.
Cathrin explains to us they found someone at the docks is a duplicate. He is killed.
She speaks of people that are in debt of the Arctic Explorers Society. Those people are available to help as alliance. (10 of them)
