Party reconvenes at the Arctic Explorers Society, where they meet a old human lady called Baba Yaga. She seems crazy and doesn't know how she got here but she knows about the Resistance. She mumbles her god brought her here. The party brings her in the society.

They are met by Aranas, who asks why we brought the lady in. We said we need all the help we can get and agrees. We decide to meet by the north east gate outside the city. When we get there we see a big patrol of different carts carrying cages escorted by more than 50 soldiers. A by standing merchant says they're carrying exotic beasts the empire buys from abroad to sort certain problems. Dr. Byron Dark recalls a story about mage hunting beasts that were brought in the past.

The party continues by sleds led by wolves next to the road towards Calor. On the way suddenly one of the trees attacks them. The party attacks the trees and the tree says he's angry for people cutting the forest down. Atticus tries to talk the trees down but they continue the attack so the party kills them.

The party camps and during the night a bunch of rats surround the camp. It turns out they're minions from the bone devil that was in the City of Dusk. He's angry at us for not freeing him and they threaten us to help the bone devil. We deny and Baba Yaga summons a web on the party and they decide to attack. Lira gets downed but we get rid of the imps.

In the morning the party continues. Atticus notices they are being followed by birds who are likely imps. Later they find an encampment of the Northern Nomad Fellowship. Their leader Sven Iceheart has special armor that reflects spells. They say they are heading north towards ember forge to sell their goods. Baba Yaga decides to turn invisible and steals some potions. Then she sells them to a nomad and charms him but fails. The whole camp attacks her and burns her on a pure.
