Notes
We start at The Resistance Camp.
Here we found 2 dead members of The Resistance. They were ambushed at the battle for the dragon pits. They were probably poisoned.
2 new Tieflings joined our cause. Darcy and Atticus. Darcy is tracking dead bodies she has found before. It leads her next trace to the Frostgate Market. Atticus is a friend of Sariel who brought him here.
We make introductions.
A goblin approaches us by the name of Grizzik. Who tells us Elinian Stomrider like to talk to us tomorrow. We take a warm bath. Dr. Byron Dark however starts his investigation on the sample we found in the Lab.
Dr. Byron Dark find out that the potion is created with some of the ingredients he used as a recipe for one of his inventions.
Cordor speaks about the Golden Eagles. He tells us he will be going back tomorrow to the Ember Empire. As he is afraid his family will be in danger if he doesn't return. He will have a meeting with Elinian Stomrider in an hour to speak about his position. He might be a good spy for The Resistance.
We Long Rest
We go to Elinian Stomrider first without Atticus and Darcy. He asks us for our story. We decide not to tell everything about Bronn Matias and The Gem of Dusk. But Gideon is bad in lying.
Elinian Stomrider tells us we are still save. He has seen with scrying magic we are still in the clear. He tells about the battle with the dragon pits. He tells us we are able to travel through the continent more freely without the arial support.
He asks us to make a trip to the Frostgate Market on the main land. He asks Atticus and Darcy to join us in this quest. He tells us we have operatives at and arround the Frostgate Market. Darcy tells us she is a member of Arctic Explorers Society. Gideon fears he might have some "friends" at the Frostgate Market. Grizzik has a solution for that. He hands us 6 hats of disguise.
Darcy brought us information about the investigation. She tells us:
- No connections between all victims
- All have signs of poisoning
- They are all lonely travelers
- The poisoning matches the poison of the 2 dead resistance members
Dr. Byron Dark tells us he was framed of stealing a heightened batches of toxins. And the poison seems to be a potion of his design. He knows there a small number of people would have had access to this potion and research.
QUEST: Find who is making the poison
Elinian Stomrider tells us to wait a few days before we go because of the patrols. We see 2 options
- Use tunnels to reach the mainland underground.
- Wait it out in the camp to waste Ember Empire resources.
We ask Wilbert if he can take us to the mainland underground. He rather wait a day as tomorrow is chicken day. Gideon asks Mathilda Stonehearth if she can pack us some chicken for the road.
Cordor tells us he is staying after all as The Resistance doesn't like him leaving.
His family is in the city of Calor. But Cordor tells us to leave his family alone as long as they are not in danger.
Grumlik is heading to the mines.
We head out underground to the main land. after most of the day travel and avoiding the underground creeps. We reach a proper space to rest.
While setting up camp, Artos tells us he came from.
While resting Wilbert comes up he found an empty old temple room that collapsed. While holding watch, some bats gather in our place. Darcy wakes us. Gideon puts some light on the bats using his mace. The bats attack. The bats are not that much of a problem. Though we seem to have awaken a bulette.
It keeps dodging in / out the wall.
We Long Rest
The next day we set our minds to getting into this abandoned temple. We dig through a wall with the help of Wilbert. One of the walls there is a tethered part of a golden wall. Dr. Byron Dark finds a chest that has a magical aura. We also find a pressure plate at a door. It's disarmed. The chest emanates Enchantment magic.
In a room we also find a half finished clay golem.
