The one that controls the heat controls the empire.

The continent of the ember empire, a frozen wasteland if it wasn't for the Heatlines warming up the climate. These valuable Heatlines are controlled from the capitol of the Ember core. A city placed in a volcano. A city named Calor. This city is inhabited by people that have proven themselves to be of worth.

Rulership

Under the rulership of the Ember emperor. Freedom is only granted for a select few, the ones that are, are very military based, they follow strict rules not based on emotional value, but business values. So strict that one may wonder if they're really free. If you work hard for money and prove yourself becoming someone of value you have higher chances of survival, the poor in the Ember Empire don't really live long.
